Over my most recent paternity leave I was at a friend's house admiring his bookshelf containing the entire Summa Theologica and I jokingly said "You know what would be funny? 'Summa Theologica for Babies'" and we both laughed. Then I looked it up to see if anything like that existed and it doesn't. Well I couldn't stop thinking about how cool it would be to read something like that to my kids every night and long story short I made it.
The book is titled "Summa Theologica for Babies - Aquinas's Five Ways". It goes over probably the most famous article in the Summa (Part 1, Question 2, Article 3) where Aquinas outlines his five logical proofs of God's existence. It rhymes, is fun to read, has beautiful and helpful illustrations and most impressively simplifies Aquinas's arguments down to the level of babies.
I just received the proofs from the printing company and have been having a blast reading it to my girls every night. I'm about to put in the order for the first print run of it and am anticipating an September release.
This is being printed as a 6" x 6" board book.
